Walrus Coloring Pages - This page is dedicated to one of the largest marine mammals. Walruses inhabit some of the coldest regions of our planet, primarily the Arctic. They spend part of their time in the water, where they swim, catch fish, and hunt waterfowl. Then, they haul out onto ice floes to rest. The sounds of a walrus rookery can be heard from a great distance; they make loud noises that resemble roars or groans. Young walruses, in particular, are quite vocal.
Walruses are well-adapted to the cold, protected by a thick layer of subcutaneous fat that prevents them from freezing while swimming in icy waters or resting on ice. Their hefty bodies are marked by deep folds. Although their heads appear small in comparison to their bodies, they feature prominent tusks, which can grow up to one meter long in adult males. Walruses move on land using their limbs, which are flippers, and these flippers also assist them in maneuvering in water. While their eyesight is poor, they have an excellent sense of smell.
For coloring walruses, children will need various shades of brown. We've collected the best walrus coloring pages, which you can print out for free for your kids.
